The idea of this project emerged after the devastating floods in early 2013, when paths, gardens and stone buildings got badly damaged or washed away. The aim is to support the gardeners, to help them rebuild and improve their gardens, and in the long run to encourage the younger generations to carry on with the tradition. A year on, the idea is still developing, and anything will only happen if the community can make it work. Until then, it's only an idea... nevertheless, we are open to receiving volunteers or support in other ways. If you are interested in helping or cooperating in any way, please let us know: sinaigardens@gmail.com.
